Even at a time when we’re seeing more supercars than ever before, the Mercedes-AMG One stands out.

In a nutshell, it’s a remarkable fusion of Formula 1 technology and road-legal design, brought to life as a limited-edition hypercar produced to the tune of 275 units.

And one of those examples is coming up for auction over at SBX Cars.

The Mercedes-AMG One isn’t ‘inspired by’ a motorsport division – it’s a legitimate, detuned example of every AMG-engined car that lines up on the F1 grid.

For the hypercar, that means a 1.6-liter V6, red-lined at 11,000 rpm, with electric motors for assistance – four of them to be precise.

Yet, those aren’t mounted at the wheel hubs – two reside at the front wheels, one at the rear axle, and the fourth is nestled next to the turbocharger, keeping it spinning when exhaust gases aren’t sufficient enough to create boost.

The combined power output of the hybrid powertrain exceeds 1,000 horsepower, putting the Mercedes-AMG One among the most powerful road-legal cars ever built.

As well as boasting exceptional performance figures, including a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of under 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph (349 km/h), the hypercar is also capable of driving short distances on electric power alone.

The hypercar’s structural integrity and agility stem from a full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, ensuring lightweight strength and superior handling.

Its aerodynamic profile is further boosted by carbon-fiber body panels, which minimize drag and maximize downforce.

Another standout feature of the Mercedes-AMG One is its active aerodynamics system, advanced technology that dynamically adjusts the front and rear wings to optimize downforce and reduce drag.

Inside the cockpit, the AMG One takes inspiration from its F1 counterpart, focusing on functionality and minimalist design.

The deeply bolstered seats provide exceptional support, mirroring the exhilarating experience of driving an F1 car.

The example heading for auction over at SBX Cars, finished in grey with a grey and teal interior, shows just 55 miles (89 km) on its odometer.

If ever there was an opportunity to acquire a future automotive legend – this is it.
